I really can't say enough about the caliber of people I've met at FFA.

WHEN DID YOU START AT FIVE FORKS ATHLETICS?

“I started in evoFIT in December of 2021 and moved over to crossfit in March 2022.”

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WORKOUT?

“I like workouts that incorporate running or rowing since I’m better at that and I like double-unders (when I can hit them!)”


TYPE OF EXERCISES WERE YOU DOING BEFORE FIVE FORKS ATHLETICS?

“I was a runner but I fell out of training consistently so I wasn’t doing much of anything at the time before I joined.”


WHAT ARE YOUR HEALTH AND FITNESS GOALS AND HAVE YOU ACHIEVED ANY OF THOSE GOALS?

“I want to get stronger in general without sacrificing cardio and I have definitely progressed. Goals related to skills that I’m working on are to do bar muscle ups as prescribed in workouts and to be able to hold a handstand and comfortably handstand walk. Currently I can get a single BMU and handstand walk a few feet. Once I’m better at those I want to work on pistol squats. Long term I want to be able to do ring muscle ups and I think it would be awesome to be able to do freestanding handstand push ups but that’s a long way off. I love the way skills are incorporated into workouts to keep them interesting and give me more things to see progress on than just the weight I’m lifting.”


HAS FIVE FORKS ATHLETICS AFFECTED YOUR LIFE OUTSIDE THE GYM?

“Yes, in several ways. My wife Britton tells me that I deal with work stress much better since joining, I’ve started eating healthier and meal prepping to save time and money, I’ve also been involved in a men’s bible study with a handful of the other guys at the gym which has really enhanced my faith and walk with God.”


DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER SPECIAL MEMORIES OR ACHIEVEMENTS DURING YOUR TIME HERE

“I really can’t say enough about the caliber of people I’ve met at FFA. Both the coaches and other members are all great people and have been a huge help in my advancement. It was a little intimidating for me when I first switched over from evoFIT to crossfit, I had barely touched a barbel in my life prior to joining so I had a lot to learn! But everyone has been super friendly and helpful and every morning I can’t wait to go to the gym, workout, and see everyone!”
