Years at Five Forks Athletics: 1

I have been coming to FFA roughly 3 times a week since I started and don’t remember the last time I felt this good!

When did you start at FFA?

I started at FFA about 6 months ago.


What is your favorite workout?

Call me crazy, I have never done a ski machine before and I really enjoy that machine. I feel that I get a full body workout with it and have been able to build up my endurance with it also.


What type of exercise were you doing before FFA?

I went to Planet Fitness about once a week. I couldn’t really get into a groove there and didn’t really like it.


What are your health and fitness goals and have you achieved any of those goals?  How is it going so far?

To be honest, I came in not expecting much. I didn’t want to set myself up for failure. I was looking to find a workout that I could perform consistently and lose a little weight while doing it.


Has Five Forks Athletics affected your life outside the gym?

I have been coming to FFA roughly 3 times a week since I started and don’t remember the last time I felt this good. I have more energy throughout the day and just feel stronger especially in my core which I have always had problems with.


Do you have any other special memories/achievements during your time here?

I was actually able to do almost 20 regular push ups straight through. I don’t think I have been able to do that since my late 20’s. It may not seem like a lot to most but it is a pretty major accomplishment for me. I had to do push ups on my knees when I first started and it was a bit depressing. Having an instructor led workout has been the key for me. I like the fact that there is someone challenging me to get through the workout. I also think working out in a group has been a game changer. It’s nice to see everyone succeeding around me and the progress that is made in each person individually. I also get to workout with my son now and see him get himself into shape. It’s been an awesome experience so far and I actually look forward to going to the gym to workout.
